Prasad Mavuduri, Managing Director 

Prasad Mavuduri is a serial entrepreneur who has spent the last 24 years in business and    management    consulting. He has     extensive experience with data right from transactions to descriptive analytics to  predictive and prescriptive analytics. He has  architected and developed many reporting and analytical systems in broad spectrum of industry sectors including Oil & Gas,         Discrete Manufacturing, Utilities, Hi-Tech, Life Sciences, Education, Finance-Banking, and Insurance etc. Prasad has extensive knowledge in implementing effective Balance Scorecards, Enterprise Performance Management solutions by architecting and delivering innovative solutions for large enterprises using popular commercial technologies like SAP, Oracle, and PeopleSoft. Prasad has been active on evangelizing Big Data adoption by tackling the issue from the view of a business driver rather than from a technology standpoint. He has been instrumental in forming American Institute of Big Data Professionals, a non-profit organization to evangelize and educate customers and other stakeholders on Big Data. He has co-founded Data-Magnum to help implement Big Data projects using open source technologies as well as various commercially available products in Big Data ecosystem for Big Picture visualization with ground level realization and execution. He brings with him diversified experience having played various senior roles in the information science and technology and being instrumental in implementing solutions in niche technology verticals. His international projects include work in Singapore, New Zealand, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, and India. He has graduated from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago.

bill Bill Vorhies, Director

Bill is a founding member of the American Institute of Big Data Professionals (AIBDP). Prior to joining Data-  Magnum Bill was President of Predictive Modeling, LLC. which since 2001 has offered advanced predictive analytics as a service. His experience in predictive data modeling covers ecommerce, scientific and engineering applications, financial markets forecasting, financial services and insurance, manufacturing, sports, healthcare, and the public sector.

Bill brings over 25 years of general management consulting and technology development experience including six years as Director and Senior Consulting Manager in Big 4 firms, and three years as Managing Director of the consulting practice at J.D. Power & Associates.

In industry Bill served as a senior executive in Fortune 500 and other private sector companies including having been General Manager of General Motors Military Sales and COO of a technology startup. He is a graduate of Princeton University.


Rama Kattunga

Mr. Rama Kattunga brings 19 Years of experience and innovation in the IT industry. His focus has been on Bigdata and Analytics. His experience includes Data Strategy, Analytics, Big Data, Data Lake, Emerging Data Technologies, IT Strategy, and Cloud Strategies. He has held and excelled in leadership roles with companies such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and other FORTUNE 500 companies.

In his current role of Systems Director for Enterprise Analytics at the largest catholic health care system in Illinois, Mr. Kattunga is spearheading the effort for the next generation of Big Data Platform and working to make the EMR data a democratized arena. He is renowned for his work as a dynamic speaker and has given keynote presentations at several organizations and conferences, including the Big Data Summit at Atlanta, Georgia.

Rama Kattunga has an MBA from the Kellogg Business School and hold two information technology degrees from India.

These global work experiences  include strategic management,  human resource management, leadership development, supply chain management, financial  analysis, online  teaching, research methodology & design, and virtual-team management.

Dr. LauraAnn specializes in organizational strategy for human resource alignment and the psychology of learning to create fun and engaging training & development solutions that inspire, educate, and empower leadership excellence. She is an Organizational Strategist & Educator at Abundant Knowledge and designs customized job-training content/curriculums for the mobile workforce in various organizational functions and industry sectors to empower people with knowledge to lead successful change, improve workplace performance, and inspire innovation. Her instructional design and consulting services focus on the alignment of people, processes, and systems to help organizations achieve strategic goals and objectives through effective learning and development solutions.

She is an adjunct faculty member and research fellow at the University of Phoenix – Center for Management and Entrepreneurship (CME). Her current research is on digital technologies as strategy for improving ROI and competitive advantage: data analytics and Big Data, mobile device application, mobile commerce (wallets), crypto-currency acceptance, cloud and distributed computing, enterprise application architecture, cybersecurity, data architecture, SMART facilities – energy management systems, and connected car (wireless mobile) in the Internet of Everything (IoE) and of Things (IoT).

She holds a Ph.D. in Organization Management (with HR specialty) from Capella University, a Master’s in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor’s in Finance from Walsh College. He brings strategic and analytical skills  that come from a diverse background of leadership roles in enterprise organizations, VC backed start-ups and the military. Jim was instrumental in creating and implementing the winning business model that has enabled the huge success that LPI enjoys today, based primarily on certification testing and practitioner engagement. The LPI enterprise is a global non-profit that may serve as a model for AIBDP regards building a certification platform. Jim’s leadership has enabled a sustainable engagement of thought leaders and practitioners to generate significant value for the industry.

piyush Piyush Malik, Director

Piyush Malik leads the Worldwide Big Data Services Center of Excellence within IBM’s  Global Strategy &  Analytics consulting practice focusing on data- driven business  transformation and data science. With 25 years of Management Consulting background, he focuses on emerging technologies and strategic initiatives at IBM and for clients. Specializing in information management strategy and architecture, big data, information quality and governance, business intelligence, master data, and advanced analytics; Piyush has over 2 decades of international consulting, practice building, sales, and delivery experience with Fortune 500 clients across multiple industries.

He has served as founding director of IBM’s Global Business Analytics & Optimization Center of Competency to jumpstart analytics driven transformation business for worldwide clients especially in growth markets. Prior to that, he served as the America’s Global Delivery leader for Business Intelligence professional services helping in IBM’s Globalization strategy by incubating new offerings and establishing teams across a network of 9 delivery centers worldwide including the BRIC countries. Previously, he led the Information Integrity consulting practice at Pricewatehouse Coopers Management Consulting Services before it got acquired by IBM in 2002. He cut his teeth in telecom, product management and software development with world renowned and pioneering firms in Asia and America before that.

Piyush has also been serving on the Board of Directors and Advisors at several non-profits including International Association of Information and Data Quality (IAIDQ). Additionally, he is the co-chair of Big Data programs at TiE since 2012 and has been the Big Data track chair in 2013 as well as 2014 for its global conference TiECon. Piyush received undergraduate degree in electronics and communications engineering and a masters in management of technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences globally and has authored several articles and papers.

Lueny is Provost & Chief Academic Officer at NEU, a practical engineering school. She is  founder and  President of Lueny Morell & Assoc., a consulting group focused on  engineering higher education areas. She  worked for HP Labs in Strategy, Open Innovation and University Relations. Previously, she was a full professor of Chemical Engineering at the Univ. of Puerto Rico, associate Dean of Engineering and recipient of the 2006 US National Academy of Engineering Bernard M. Gordon award for innovations in the engineering curriculum. Her work has been published in more than 85 papers, book chapters and journals. She is a member of various national and international boards including Past President of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies and advisor of the International Institute for Developing Engineering Academics.

Russell Walker, Ph.D. is Clinical Associate Professor at the Kellogg School of  Management of Northwestern  University. Dr. Walker’s expertise is in Big Data and Analytics, Risk Management, and International Business  Strategy. He has developed and taught leading executive programs on Big Data and Analytics, Strategic Data-Driven Marketing, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, and Global Leadership.

His is the author of the award-winning text Winning with Risk Management (World Scientific Publishing, 2013), which examines the principles and practice of risk management through business case studies. He authored the chapter Operational Risk in Insurance, as part of Risk Management in Financial Institutions (Euromoney, 2013). He has also authored many popular business cases, and the Aspen Institute, Harvard Business School Press, and the Bank of England have recognized his cases for excellence in showcasing lessons in risk management.

Kirsten Curtis is a seasoned executive and results oriented leader with a proven track  record of achieving  targeted growth and business development objectives while delivering ROI and operational efficiency through  innovation and optimization. Kirsten brings over a decade of experience managing global supply chain organizations in retail, technology, and public health organizations. She has a broad range of experience in demand planning, big data sharing and visualization, forecasting, contract negotiation, supplier selection, and outsourcing, as well as direct experience with project management and industrial engineering. Kirsten earned her BS in International Relations from Stanford University, and went on to work in marketing, and then consulting. Kirsten then earned her Master’s of Engineering in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from MIT-Zaragoza. She did her master’s work around the supply chain of malaria treatments, and continues to dabble in the public health space. After graduate school, Kirsten went to work at KLA-Tencor, and subsequently took a job at Safeway. Kirsten is currently the Vice President of Supply Chain Planning at Safeway, where she focus on improving the bottom line through better supply chain management. Kirsten has lived in 4 countries and speaks 5 languages. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys kite-bording, surfing, and competing in triathlons.

Jennifer is a seasoned executive with a background in strategy, international business & non-profit  management. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.  She worked in investment banking on the M&A side managing global acquisitions and divestitures across several verticals. She later worked for Cargill’s C-level team creating global business development strategies in emerging markets. She later began serving on non-profit boards as VP and Treasurer at the United Nations Association of San Francisco, leading the strategic direction of international development and formation of a for-profit publishing company. In a board consultant role, she helped a failing non-profit medical society file and win an antitrust lawsuit that changed the game in medicine, creating new legislation and enabling organization viability and monetization strategies. She continues her work as a facilitator of board development, engaging non-profits in strategic review, analysis and planning, as well as successfully implementing turn-around strategies.
